Product Technology FAQs
SLVR® Scrubs use SLVR777™ fabric, with a stated composition of 59% polyester, 35% metallic and 6% spandex. Other products use different fabrics. Read the individual listing and the product-specific testing information.
Each product’s fabric and lab report is listed on our Lab Results page. Results apply to the fabric sample tested and vary by frequency. Whole-garment performance is lower at openings and seams.

Sizing & Fit
Take your measurements following our sizing guide and compare them to our size charts. For the most accurate fit, measure over undergarments you typically wear. If between sizes, we recommend sizing up for comfort.

Yes, but we recommend using a professional alterations service familiar with medical garments. Minor hemming won’t affect the protective properties, but major alterations should be avoided.
Care & Maintenance
To maintain the shielding effectiveness layer and performance of the SLVR™ fibers, machine wash in cold or warm water using a mild or natural detergent. Hang dry away from direct sunlight. Do not use bleach, tumble dry, dry clean, or use harsh fabric softeners.

FAQ guide: find the answer for your product
This FAQ covers several categories. Start with the product you are considering, because a statement about a scrub fabric is not automatically a statement about a hat, polo, pouch or blanket. Read the question and answer together, then follow the link to the individual listing when you need dimensions, current options or a product-specific instruction.
Check the item before applying an answer
For a scrub set, review the top and pant size information separately. Complete sets allow different top and pant sizes, so record both selections when asking for help. For a polo or headwear item, use that product’s fit information. A measurement or care answer for another garment may not describe the item you intend to order.
For blankets, compare the listed length and width rather than choosing by the size name alone. The compact lap blanket has its own important-use notice. For a phone pouch, compare your phone and case with the exterior measurements while allowing room for the material and closure. If the usable fit is unclear, ask the team before ordering.
Read lab results in their stated context
The Lab Results page identifies the available scrub-fabric report and lists the products whose testing is in progress. A report number and a sample description matter when comparing a claim. Results apply to the sample tested and vary by frequency. Openings and seams affect whole-garment performance. A general fabric explanation is not a measurement of every item in the collection.
Keep the distinction between technical apparel and medical equipment clear. Products are not medical devices and do not replace required personal protective equipment. Follow your workplace’s rules, including its MRI procedures. Silver fibers are conductive; remove the garment before entering the MRI scanner room.
Use the sewn care label
Care instructions are not interchangeable across the collection. Check the label supplied with the item and the care information on its product page. The hat requires hand washing below 40°C (104°F) with a neutral detergent. Do not machine wash or machine dry it. Hang it to dry, and use a cool iron only if needed.
If a care statement appears inconsistent, contact the team with the product name and the exact wording. Do not use a general washing answer as evidence that a particular accessory is machine washable. A question about cleaning is also separate from a laboratory measurement of shielding performance.
