In my years working in hospitals and clinics, I’ve noticed something that’s really started to affect me and my colleagues. We’re constantly surrounded by Wi-Fi, 5G, Bluetooth, and a multitude of machines running 24/7. After a while, I realized this constant exposure was taking a toll. I felt wired yet exhausted, my sleep was disrupted, and I was battling a persistent brain fog. It was clear my coworkers were also struggling, feeling tired and burned out with a harder time recovering.I knew I couldn’t ignore it any longer.
I needed a way to protect myself, so I began wearing EMF-blocking shirts and underwear under my scrubs. But it wasn’t a good solution. It was hot, uncomfortable, and felt like I was wearing a suit of armor just to get through my workday.
Why was I layering up with gear that wasn’t made for people like me? Why wasn’t anyone making protective clothing for healthcare workers, lab techs, holistic practitioners—for the people constantly surrounded by tech while trying to care for others? These people are constantly exposed to EMF, for long periods of time, and there was nothing for these people. My colleagues needed support.
